Account Settings
Account Settings is where every administrator manages their own profile: your name and the email address you use to sign in. It only affects your own record; to change someone else’s profile use Administrators.
Getting there
Account Settings doesn’t appear in the left sidebar. Open it from the avatar menu in the top-right of the portal header (click your initials or photo, then Account Settings).
What you’ll see
Two stacked sections:
Account Settings
- First Name field
- Last Name field
- Update Profile button
Change Email
- Email field, pre-filled with your current email
- Update Email button
Common tasks
Update your name
- Edit First Name and/or Last Name in the top section.
- Click Update Profile. A green “Profile updated successfully” notification appears.
The change shows up immediately in the Administrators page and as the By value on any future Audit Log entries you generate.
Change your sign-in email
- Type the new address into the Email field in the bottom section.
- Click Update Email. TimePally generates a 6-digit verification code, emails it to the new address, and opens a verification dialog.
- Open the email and copy the Verification Code.
- Paste it into the dialog and click Verify & Update.
If the code matches and hasn’t expired, the email is changed and a green success notification appears. If it’s wrong or expired (the code is valid for 15 minutes), the dialog shows an error and you can request a new one by starting again.
Tips
- The verification email is sent to the new address, not the old one: that’s how the system proves the new address belongs to you.
- You can’t reuse your current email: the form rejects “New email is the same as current email” with an error notification.
- After updating your email, you’ll still be signed in on your current session, but next time you sign in use the new address.
