Subscription
The Subscription page is your billing hub: see which plan you’re on, how much usage you have left against your plan’s limits, switch plans, pay through Paystack, and review every renewal, charge, and payment that’s ever happened on your account. Most write operations across TimePally are gated by your subscription state, so this page is also where you go when something elsewhere says “Subscription expired.”
Getting there
Click Subscription in the left sidebar (credit-card icon).
What you’ll see
The page is laid out top-to-bottom in three blocks:
1. Status banner (only when relevant)
- Free Trial banner: shown while your account is in
TRIALstatus. It tells you how many days are left (red badge when ≤7 days, amber when ≤14, green otherwise) and has an Upgrade Now button that jumps to the plan grid. - Expired banner: shown when your last subscription is
EXPIRED. Red styling, “Your Subscription Has Expired”, with a Reactivate Now button that jumps to the plans.
If you’re on an active paid plan, you see the Current Plan card instead:
- The plan name, a colour-coded status badge (Active = green, Suspended = red, Trial = grey, others = amber), and a “Monthly” badge.
- The amount paid and the number of months purchased.
- Usage progress bars for your plan limits (locations, devices per location, members). Each bar shows a warning badge at 90% usage and an error badge (“Limit reached”) at 100%.
2. Available Plans
A Monthly / Annual toggle at the top right. Tick the Annual checkbox to view annualised pricing; a green “Save 20%” badge appears.
Each plan is a card showing:
- Plan name and description
- Price (₦ NGN per month, or “Custom” for the PLUS plan)
- Devices/Location and Max Locations
- An action button:
- “Current Plan” (disabled): for your active plan.
- “Start with [Plan]”: when you’re on trial.
- “Reactivate [Plan]”: when your last subscription expired.
- “Upgrade to [Plan]”: when you’re on a different paid plan.
- “Contact Us”: for PLUS plans; opens a mailto link to
sales@timepally.com.
3. History tabs
Three tabs at the bottom of the page:
- Subscription History: every subscription record with Plan, Start/End dates, Duration, Months, Amount Paid, Status (Active, Trial, Expired, Cancelled, Suspended, Pending Start → “Upcoming”). Click View for detail.
- Billing Events: every billing-related event with colour-coded badge: green for purchases/renewals/payments, neutral for upgrades, amber for downgrades, red for cancellations/expirations/failed payments.
- Payment History: every Paystack transaction with status and amount.
Common tasks
Upgrade from trial to a paid plan
- While on trial, scroll to Available Plans (or click Upgrade Now in the banner).
- Pick monthly or annual pricing using the toggle.
- Click Start with [Plan name] on the plan you want.
- Complete the Paystack checkout in the dialog/redirect.
- Once payment confirms, your subscription becomes Active and the page reloads with the Current Plan card.
Renew after expiry
- The Expired banner appears at the top of the page.
- Click Reactivate Now or pick a plan card.
- The button reads Reactivate [Plan]. Click it and follow Paystack.
Switch plans (upgrade or downgrade)
On an active paid plan, every other plan card’s button reads Upgrade to [Plan]. Click it and follow Paystack checkout.
See exactly when your subscription will end
Look at the End Date for the row in Subscription History with status ACTIVE. The Duration column shows how many days that subscription covers.
Investigate a payment problem
Open the Billing Events tab and look for red badges (PAYMENT_FAILED, SUBSCRIPTION_CANCELLED). Cross-check the Payment History tab for the matching Paystack transaction and its response status.
Tips
- Trial period: new organisations get a free trial automatically. The trial banner shows the exact end date and an at-risk badge in the last week.
- Annual billing saves ~20% compared to monthly. Toggle the switch above the plan grid to compare prices.
- PLUS plans are quote-based: there’s no Paystack checkout for them; you contact sales directly.
- Status badge meanings (used in the history grid):
- ACTIVE: current paid subscription.
- TRIAL: free trial.
- EXPIRED / CANCELLED: no longer active; features are gated.
- SUSPENDED: temporarily disabled (e.g. failed payment), can be reactivated.
- PENDING_START (shown as “Upcoming”): paid for, but the start date is in the future.
- Grace state: if your subscription is in the grace window, the Dashboard’s Subscription KPI card shows it in amber. Renew before the grace ends or paid features become read-only.
Note: Whenever something across TimePally tells you “Subscription expired”, that’s the system blocking a write because your status is no longer
ACTIVEorTRIAL. Reactivating here restores access.
