Performance
The Performance tab ranks every member for a chosen month by a composite score of attendance and punctuality. It’s the report most teams use for monthly recognition, quarterly reviews, and spotting members whose attendance is trending down before the issue becomes a conversation.
Getting there
Open General Report in the sidebar and click the Performance tab.
What you’ll see
A filter bar followed by a sortable, ranked grid. The filter bar contains:
- Year : the current year and the five years before it.
- Month : January through December.
- Location : leave blank for all locations.
- Search member : by name or member code.
- Apply button (loads the grid).
- Export CSV button (enabled once the grid has rows).
- Export PDF button : branded PDF with header, footer, and a summary strip. Requires an active subscription.
Grid columns: Rank, Code, Member, Location, Attendance %, Punctuality %, Late days, Overtime, Score, Rating.
- Rank is assigned by descending Score: 1st place = highest score for the month, ties keep the same rank.
- Attendance % = days present ÷ scheduled work days × 100.
- Punctuality % = on-time days ÷ days present × 100. A member who showed up 8 days and was on time 6 of them is at 75 % punctuality.
- Late days is the count of days they clocked in after their schedule’s grace period.
- Overtime is shown as
Xh YYm, totalled across the month. - Score is the composite, weighted 0.6 × Attendance % + 0.4 × Punctuality %. The weighting is intentional: showing up at all matters more than showing up on time.
- Rating is a colour-coded badge derived from Score:
- Excellent : 90 and above
- Good : 75 to 89
- Fair : 60 to 74
- Poor : below 60
The two percentage columns also carry colour cues regardless of Rating: red for values under 50, orange for 50–69, green for 70 and above. This lets you scan a long grid and spot the outliers without sorting.
Common tasks
Generate this month’s ranking for one location
- Pick the current Year and Month.
- Choose the location in Location (leave Search member blank).
- Click Apply. The grid loads, ranked from highest to lowest score.
Export a PDF for the next management meeting
- Apply the filters you want.
- Click Export PDF. The PDF carries your organisation’s name in the header, the period in the title, and the same ranked grid you saw on screen.
- PDF generation requires an active subscription. If yours has lapsed, the button is disabled, see Subscription to renew.
Identify members on a downward trend
- Apply filters for last month, export the CSV.
- Apply the same filters for the month before that, export again.
- Sort both CSVs by member code in your spreadsheet tool and compare Score side-by-side. Members whose score dropped by 10 points or more are the conversation candidates.
Tips
- Filters are not auto-applied: change any of them, then click Apply to reload the grid.
- A member with no scheduled work days in the chosen month is excluded from the ranking entirely (no rank, no row). Rest days, holidays, or schedule gaps can cause this.
- Score weighting is fixed in the current release at 60 / 40 (attendance / punctuality). If you need the raw counts to compute your own weighting, the Monthly Summary tab exposes them.
- The Rating thresholds (90 / 75 / 60) are global to TimePally and not currently configurable per organisation.
- The PDF export is the only export in TimePally that bundles your branding. Use it for anything that leaves the building.
