Exceptions
The Exceptions tab surfaces the rows of attendance data that need a human to look at them: someone forgot to clock out, someone was late, someone missed a whole shift. Use it daily or weekly to keep records clean before they roll up into payroll.
Getting there
Open General Report in the sidebar and click the Exceptions tab.
What you’ll see
A filter bar followed by a sortable grid. The filter bar contains:
- Start Date and End Date: default to the last 14 days (today minus 13, through today).
- Location: leave blank for all locations.
- Type: ALL, NO_CLOCK_IN, NO_CLOCK_OUT, LATE_CLOCK_IN, EARLY_CLOCK_OUT, SHIFT_MISSED.
- Status: All / Unresolved / Resolved. Defaults to Unresolved so you only see the open items.
- Apply button and Export CSV button.
Grid columns: Date, Code, Member, Location, Exception (the type, written out, e.g. “No clock in”, “Late clock in”), Minutes (how many minutes are affected; shown as — when not applicable), Status (Open or Resolved).
